As a design supervisor and lead at 18F, I worked with a team of designers, developers, and product managers to understand consumers’ needs and expectations while searching for, understanding, and using national crime data.
The team worked in 2-week “sprints” to design, build, and test an online solution that met the needs of community members, students, Open Data advocates, FBI staff, and law enforcement organizations.
View the process and how the “Crime Data Explorer” evolved based on feedback on the project’s GitHub repository.
